I Am New to Human Design

Human Design (HD) is a drivers manual to support you in living the way you were born (designed) to operate.

It provides a blueprint for understanding your unique energy, personality and life purpose and how to create ease and flow in your life.

It is based on traditions like the I-Ching, the kabbalah, the chakra system, and astrology. It gives you a personal body graph to help you understand what makes you unique and what works for you.

The body graph (based on your date, time and location of birth) gives you specific tools to thrive and function based on what gives you energy, motivates you, how you make decisions and how you were designed to operate in the world, in all areas of your life (relationships, work, sleep, digestion, parenting, creativity).

If you don’t know your HD body graph, take this test:

At first glance, your chart results will look complex and overwhelming.

Here are the basic definitions:

Your energy type: tells you when you are most productive and how to best use your unique energy.

Your authority: explains how you make decisions.

Your strategy: tells you how to best interact with the world to create alignment and flow. 

Your signature: indicates if you are living in alignment with your nature - in a way that is authentic and fulfilling to you.

Your not-self theme: is the particular feeling that comes up when you are out of alignment.

Your profile: numbers are the archetypes of your personality and tell what you are here to do in this life.

Here’s what you need to know

  • Your energy type tells you how and when you are most productive and how you best use your unique energy in all areas of your life (relationships, work, sleep, digestion, creativity). It informs how you create ease and flow in your life. 

    Each type carries its own aura, strategy, and approach to decision-making, 

    There are five energy Types in Human Design:

    • Manifestor

    • Generator

    • Manifesting Generator

    • Projector

    • Reflector

    I focus on Manifesting Generators (and to an extent Generators, as there is some overlap between the two).

  • Your authority explains your unique decision-making process and how you easily make decisions that are most authentic and aligned with your true nature. 

    There are seven authorities in Human Design:

    • Sacral Authority

    • Emotional (Solar Plexus) Authority

    • Splenic Authority

    • Ego Manifested Authority

    • Self-Projected Authority

    • Mental Projectors 

    • Lunar Authority

    I focus on:

    • Sacral authority

    • Emotional (Solar Plexus) authority

  • Your strategy tells you how to best interact with the world to create alignment and flow. 

    Each of the four Types in the system has a specific Strategy:

    Each strategy is specific to the unique energy type and decision-making process (authority), making sure that people can interact in a way that is in harmony with their nature and energetic capabilities.

    • Generators and Manifesting Generators are meant “To Respond”

    • Manifestors are meant “To Inform”

    • Projectors are meant to “Wait for the Invitation”

    • Reflectors are meant to “Wait a Lunar Cycle“

    I focus on the Generator and Manifesting Generator strategy of responding.

  • Your not-self theme is the indicator (particular feelings) that come up when you are not in alignment in your life and not being authentic to your true nature. 

    Each of the four types in the system has a specific Not-Self Theme:

    • Anger for Manifestors

    • Frustration for Generators and Manifesting Generators

    • Bitterness for Projectors

    • Disappointment for Reflectors

    I focus on the Generator and Manifesting Generator not-self theme:

    • Frustration

  • Your signature acts as a compass, guiding you to well-being, fulfillment and your highest potential. When you follow your signature it ensures that your choices and actions are in harmony with your true nature.

    Each of the four Types in the system has a specific Signature:

    • Peace for Manifestors

    • Satisfaction for Generators and ManifestingGenerators

    • Success for Projectors

    • Surprise for Reflectors

    I focus on the Generator and Manifesting Generator signature of:

    • Satisfaction
